1. Controller and contact
The controller for personal data processed through scale2europe is Albatech SpA, Av. Central Nº490, Placilla, Valparaíso, Chile. Email: hola@albatech.cl.
AVentures is the parent company; Albatech SpA remains responsible for operating scale2europe and its data processing. Group affiliation alone does not authorize sharing your data.
Sebastian Sessler is the contact person in Germany for GDPR matters. You can reach him through the email above using the subject “GDPR — Sebastian Sessler”. This identifies a contact person, not a claim of formal appointment as a data protection officer or representative under Article 27 GDPR.
2. Information we process
- Application and contact details: name, email, professional role, organization, country, website and LinkedIn links, messages and privacy acknowledgement.
- Startup and matching information: technology verticals, funding round, technology readiness level, investor type, investment stages and mentoring interest.
- Internal participation records: application status, administrative notes, evaluation scores and comments, reviewer identity, sponsor proposals and programme terms.
- Expert information: professional profile, photo, company affiliation, support countries, expertise, investor preferences, visibility choices, booking link and agreed fee information.
- Booking records: expert, scheduling provider, link-opening or booking status and, for supported Calendly bookings, event and invitee references.
- Invited-user account data and technical information needed for sign-in, security, hosting and error diagnostics.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use your information to respond to enquiries, assess applications, manage accepted participants, arrange introductions, coordinate advisors and bookings, and secure the service.
Where GDPR applies, processing relies on steps requested before entering into a contract or performing a contract (Article 6(1)(b)), legitimate interests in operating a professional network, assessing applications and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f)), applicable legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)) and consent where specifically requested (Article 6(1)(a)). Legitimate interests are balanced against your rights.
The form checkbox records your acknowledgement and consent for the stated submission processing. It is not consent to unrelated marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
4. Evaluation, matchmaking and public profiles
Applications are accessible to authorized administrators. Assigned evaluators may review startup information and provide their own assessments; they do not see other evaluators' assessments. Administrators can see assessment summaries and reviewer participation.
Matchmaking compares factors such as technology interests, funding stages, geography and regional relevance. Scores assist human review; they do not automatically decide admission, funding or participation with legal or similarly significant effects.
Accepted applications become internal participant records. Acceptance does not automatically publish personal contact information. Expert and partner profiles are published only when their visibility settings permit it; confidential expert payout rates are not part of public profiles.
Relevant information may be shared with potential partners for an agreed introduction. We do not give all network members unrestricted access to applications.
5. Service providers and external websites
We use Lovable Cloud and its infrastructure providers for hosting, data storage, authentication and technical diagnostics. Authorized staff and contracted service providers receive access only as needed for their work.
The website loads Google Fonts, creating requests that disclose technical information including your IP address to Google. External LinkedIn and partner links are governed by their providers' privacy policies when opened.
Calendly is loaded when you open a Calendly booking dialog. Other configured providers, such as Cal.com, Google Calendar or Microsoft Bookings, may be opened as external websites. They process booking information under their own policies. Supported Calendly booking references are also recorded in our internal booking overview; for other providers, a link opening does not confirm an appointment.
There is currently no integrated payment or invoicing checkout on this website. Any later payment integration will require updated provider and processing information.
6. International processing
Albatech SpA operates from Chile. Our international network and service providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where GDPR requires safeguards for a transfer, the relevant transfer must be covered by an applicable adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, or a legally permitted exception. Chile is not covered by an EU adequacy decision.
You may contact us for information about the locations and safeguards relevant to your data. These depend on the service and provider involved; this notice does not assert that every transfer is already covered by a specific mechanism.
7. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as needed for the enquiry, application, participation or advisory relationship and any applicable legal obligations. Unsuccessful applications are reviewed for deletion when their purpose ends; continued retention for future opportunities requires an appropriate legal basis. Account and booking records are retained only while operationally or legally necessary.
We use access controls and role-based permissions to protect information. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in your submission.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Contact hola@albatech.cl, addressed to Sebastian Sessler for GDPR matters in Germany. Where GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month; lawful extensions will be explained.
You may complain to a competent data protection supervisory authority, including in your EU country of habitual residence, workplace or the place of an alleged infringement.
