Participation Structure

Applying to scale2europe is free of charge and non-binding.

After an initial evaluation, selected startups may be invited to participate in the scale2europe acceleration and European market-access program.

The platform operates through a co-financed model involving startups, strategic sponsors (investors and corporates), and, where applicable, public innovation support programs.

As part of the program, scale2europe identifies and engages European investors or strategic sponsors that have a direct interest in the startup’s technology, market, or industrial application. These sponsors co-finance and support the scaling process and receive structured access to startup information, participation in the evaluation process, and negotiate preferred investment rights for a future financing round.

Participation in the program is subject to a separate agreement. The startup contribution becomes relevant only after a startup has been selected, sponsor participation has been secured, and all parties decide to move forward with the program.

The exact structure of sponsor participation, due diligence access, and potential investment rights is discussed individually and documented in separate agreements.

Submitting an application to scale2europe does not create any legal or financial obligation for participating startups.

Additional optional services, such as European holding setup, patent filing, specialized legal support, or regulatory assistance, may be offered separately depending on the startup’s needs.
